Federal Deposit Insurance Commission (FDIC)
BEM was awarded a Nationwide Basic Ordering Agreement
contract by the FDIC to perform a broad range of environmental
compliance and occupational health and safety services.
These services were classified among the following four
types of occupational health concerns and environmental
risks:
- Indoor Air Quality
- Water Quality
- Ergonomics
- Asbestos Abatement Support, Survey and Oversight
Each major work scope consisted of testing and surveying,
systems evaluation, corrective action plans, oversight,
and employees/facility engineer training. The program's
ultimate goal was to evaluate if and how these issues
were affecting employee health, workplace productivity
and the source and contribution to worker's compensation
claims. More than 30 facilities in 22 states were audited,
inspected, received training, and/or had corrective actions
implemented.
"BEM's ability to meet technical and operational
challenges that have arisen since the inception of
this contract has been outstanding. Overall, BEM exhibits
a solid experience base and is very responsive in
following through on a wide range of FDIC requests
for information ranging from research studies to the
preparation of data submittals."

& Environmental Program Manager, FDIC
