Highways
For over 10 years, BEM has delivered comprehensive
environmental and engineering consulting services under
multiple task order agreements for various state departments
of transportation. BEM’s highly qualified group
of environmental professionals has continuously assisted
highway programs during concept development, design,
construction and maintenance phases. BEM also understands
the importance of supporting maintenance facilities
in a 24-hour operational mode and as such, provides
on-call services. The projects generally involve review
and interpretation of construction design drawings,
evaluating the impact of potential contamination and
liability to the state agency.
 BEM’s
comprehensive services include preparation of National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, conducting
remedial investigation programs, providing environmental
guidance for property acquisition, and oversight during
construction activities. Specifically, these specialized
