Construction Management
BEM has provided a wide-range of environmental construction
management support services for more than 10 years. We have
worked directly with state transportation agencies on challenging
projects throughout New Jersey and New York, most notably
as the sole environmental consultant to the New Jersey Transit
Corporation on a large light rail project in Hudson and Bergen
Counties, New Jersey. Simultaneously, BEM successfully implemented
several remediation programs with private industrial and transportation-sector
clients such as New Jersey Transit, New Jersey Department
of Transportation, and the New York State Department of Transportation
under tight schedules and budgets. As a result, BEM has gained
invaluable experience and technical expertise in managing
environmental and regulatory issues associated with large
and small, complex construction projects within urban and
industrial areas. We believe that BEM can provide the necessary
environmental expertise as part of your construction team
on your upcoming projects.
BEM’s environmentally related construction management
support services include the following:
- Active and passive, multi-media remedial action implementation
and monitoring;
- Underground and above ground storage tank closure, upgrade
and installation;
- Asbestos and lead-based paint inspections and abatement
supervision;
- Asbestos and lead paint abatement compliance air monitoring;
- Decontamination and demolition support;
- Real-time dust and particulate air monitoring;
- Noise surveys and monitoring;
- Innovative field screening and sampling, and
- GANTT, PERT and CPM Scheduling.
In addition, BEM’s Environmental Management Information
Systems construction-related applications and Geographic Information
System (GIS) services greatly enhance our ability to electronically
input, control and track various types of field data.
