AASHTO and BEM Meet in Chatham, New Jersey Office

AASHTO and BEM Meet in Chatham, New Jersey Office and Prepare to Commence Turbo Relocation™ Development Phase.  The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Special Committee on Joint Development (SCOJD) has assigned a special task force to work with BEM Systems, Inc. (BEM) in developing Turbo Relocation™, as part of their AASHTOWare® suite of software products.  Turbo Relocation is designed to standardize the calculation of benefits under the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, 49 CFR Part 24, as amended (Uniform Act) that guides determination of relocation benefits, associated with property relocations that result when various transportation-related infrastructure projects are implemented.

This is an exciting pioneer project for BEM, and differs vastly from our PAECETrak™ customization projects, in that AASHTO is contracting BEM to develop an entirely new software solution for them!
The photograph below was taken during the meetings that took place in mid-October, between key representatives from AASHTO and BEM project team members.  The objective of these meetings was to review system requirements and approve design aspects of Turbo Relocation in anticipation of kicking-off the development phase.
