Several project summaries have been provided to illustrate BEM's experience. The following project/contract summary highlights our expertise in Natural and Water Resources:
South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD)

BEM currently holds 5 contracts with the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) in support of Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) and non-CERP initiatives. These projects range from ecological risk evaluation in support of land acquisition to remote sensing programming supporting the Everglades Landscape Model. BEM plays a strong role in several of the hydraulic, hydrologic, and hydrodynamic models being developed at regional and sub-regional scales to evaluate the impact of changes in operational controls in the context of natural systems. Main contracts include:
  • Science and Engineering Support Services (SESS)
  • Hydraulic and Hydrologic (H&H) Modeling Services
  • Dairy Farm Restoration Design and Construction
  • Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for Environmental Services
  • Upper East Coast (UEC) Water Quality Monitoring Network
